planecapSo it’s that time of the morning again folks when we announce our second group of 10 lucky winners who will each receive double tickets to the airshow – worth R100. There has been some outstanding entries, so without further ado, here are our winners (in no particular order):

1. Curtly: Groundsman: Slowly, slowly… come in Pilot, you are moving in to fast.
Pilot 1: Hey, Isn’t that the guy that select the caption winners?
Pilot2(Curtly) : Yes, lets bump him

2. TJ: Groundsman: Now, come on, follow these little sticks, a little more… Jeez, man, don’t you know where straight is? Just because they are pointing up doesn’t mean you are cleared for take off! Pilot: Hell, this guy is worse than driving with my mother-in-law!!

3. Ben Smit: Pilot: Landlubber! Groundsman: Taxi driver..!

4. Angel: Groundsman:Kom-plain Kom-plain Kom-plain.
Pilot: Hey that’s the dude that works in the complaints department!

5. j els: Plane: Damn hitch hiker Groundsman: How do you stop these modern BRT buses?

6. Concerned: Pilot: Heehah! Just in time for the show! Groundsman: Rolling the drums!!

7. Mike: Pilot: This carguard has no idea hoe difficult it is for me to reverse park this thing! Carguard: Don’t worry, if anyone tries to steal your voertuig, I will hit him with my big sticks!!

8. Katherine H: Plane: Oh, thank heavens for these female pilots – another safe landing. Groundsman: For pete’s sake stop admiring your reflection and come over here – these stick things are getting heavy.

9. Joshua Hobson: GROUNDSMAN: Eish, these lightsabers don’t work. when i wave them only planes come to me. PILOT: Ahh we’re going to crash into the HANGER!!! GROUDSMAN: Eish these flies are a horrible things(waving wands).

10. Terry Bruce: Pilot: “Oh no! They got to be kidding, they told me the end of the runway was narrow, but this narrow” Groundsman: I hope the pilot remembers who is holding up these markers, cause if he clips me – my sister will have him sleeping in the spare room for a long time to come.

Congratulations folks! Thank you very much to everybody who entered – without your support these types of competitions would not be possible.

OK, so this is how you collect your tickets: Tickets will be available for collection this Thursday morning between 9am and 10am and again in the afternoon between 2pm and 4pm.

Please bring your ID book with when collecting the tickets at the revolving door entrance closest to Station Street.

Also folks – our big competition in which YOU can win two VIP tickets plus a plane ride for two to Dweza is still up for grabs. The winner in that competition will be announced on Wednesday afternoon and requested to come in on Thursday to collect their prize.

Judges’ decision is final.

Hahahahahaha Gav old chap, your whiskey nose had his face kicked in by your oldest rivals. Not even the likes of Misure Owen could swim you across.

Thanks Gavin.

I am at my wits’ end with the poor payment history of the Eastern Cape Department of Education. On the 15th October 2009 the Department launched their Service Standards amidst great fanfare, with a lavish meal, a great motivational speaker, MEC for Education present, etc.etc. etc. BUT I am baffled that a non-profit organisation has outstanding payments totalling close to R1m for the pat 6 months for services rendered to the Department. Is it fair that a non-profit Organisation must wait so long to be paid? Obviously not! Every possible avenue has been explored to speed up the payment process but with no success. I am pleading with the powers that be within the Department of Education to please enure that the organisation in question and others be paid soon to prevent them from having to close their doors. Pretty please!

Happy Birthday mate. Where’s Larra ? Two red beach balls to the Scousers and a big red face to the Mancs and old whisky-nose. Whoooowhoooo. Curtz, I reckon that opens the race up nicely for you guys. Pity you dropped silly points against the Hammers.
