New Life hospital: Video

On Tuesday, patients from the maternity and neonatal intensive care unit at Life St Dominic’s Hospital in Southernwood and some from Life East London Private Hospital were transferred to wards at the new multi-million rand Life Beacon Bay Hospital, which will officially open its doors to the public on Wednesday, writes Xolisa Mgwatyu.

DispatchOnline mojo Thando Gqamana shot this video when given a tour of the new hospital by marketing and communications coordinator for Life Border region Ailsa Thorpe.

“We are very happy that the hospital has finally opened and we are looking forward to welcome new patients today,” said Thorpe.
She said the paediatric and emergency units will only open on December 1.
