I have just attended a breakfast addressed by DA leader Helen Zille here in East London.

She had some interesting points to make:

  • “For the first time since 1994, the ANC is vulnerable” and that the ANC’s decline was now “inevitable”
  • A party without a coherent political philosophy will inevitably fail, much like the NP once apartheid disappeared;
  • The ANC had now become a “viper’s nest” of contesting factions after power which would give them access to resources and patronage;
